Legal Information

This guide will help you to find library books, journals, and online resources about various branches of Canadian law, with a particular emphasis on the law in British Columbia. Most of the suggested resources are geared towards the general public and therefore provide easy-to-understand explanations of complicated legal matters, but you will also find full-text sources of legislation and reference materials intended for a professional audience. Please be aware that while library staff are available to point you towards information where you might find answers to your questions, we cannot provide legal interpretation or advice.

For law clinics and other legal assistance that is available in Vancouver and surrounding areas, please see our page on Legal Services.
