ESL and Literacy Resources

ESL Collection at VPL

The Vancouver Public Library has a large English as a Second Language (ESL) collection that includes books, compact discs, computer software and DVDs. These materials are available at the Central Library on Level 4 and at other VPL branch libraries.

Some of the areas covered by this collection include: grammar, conversation, idioms, listening, reading, vocabulary, and language test preparation (e.g. TOEFL, TOEIC, IELTS, etc.)

There are also ESL Book Club Sets which can be used for book discussion groups with ESL students. The ESL collection at Central Library also includes books and magazines for ESL instructors.
