Q: Why do different eBooks offer different reading options?

A: The eBooks in VPL's catalogue come from two different eBook collections, VPL to Go and VPL eBooks. Each collection offers books from a different group of publishers; because of this, each collection offers a slightly different service. If you want to read in your browser, you might see the option to read an eBook in VPL Reader or OverDrive Read, or even be offered a choice between the two, depending on the eBook's publisher and collection.

With all of our eBooks, you will always have the option to download the ePUB file and read it with your preferred eReading program or device. If you ever have questions about eReading at VPL, please call, email, or come and see us!
