Thanks to everyone who submitted a short story! Here are the winners:

Grand Prize

Eleanor L. - How The Balloons Killed The Smoke
"I think we all deserve happy endings." This is the tale of two deflating balloons, a little girl and an old man, and how they set themselves free.

Runner-Up Prizes

Kristine H. - Monochromatic Aberration
When two childhood friends cross paths once again, each realizes the other is a ghost of their former self. The story of a boy who made himself seen, and the history of a girl who couldn't.

Jossaline T. - Shards of Glass
This story is about the rivalry between two sisters who may both be insane.

Teen Creative Writing Club

Meet other teen writers, discuss writing projects and exchange ideas in this monthly teen-led meet-up. Prompts and exercises will be supplied to help get the creative juices flowing, but the ultimate focus is to build a group of passionate young people who can support each other in their writing endeavors.

We Need Diverse Books!

Looking for a little diversity in your reading material? Join us for "Let's Read-efine YA Lit", a workshop series aimed at raising awareness about diversity in teen books.

Learn about current problems within the YA publishing industry and brainstorm ways that you can take action and help promote books by, about, and for a variety of people. Select a ‘diverse’ book on September 15th and participate in a follow-up discussion about your book on September 26th. Come to either one or both!
