VPL's Teen Swag Contest - Winner Announced!

We’re very pleased to announce the grand prize winner of the library’s first-ever teen swag design contest – Caleigh Smith!

Last fall, the Oakridge Branch Teen Advisory Group challenged Vancouver teens to create a new promotional item for VPL – a combination magnet and button set. The library received many great entries from teens from across the city and the winning design was selected by members of VPL's Teen Advisory groups.

Caleigh, age 15, will receive a $100 grand prize and her design will be printed and distributed to VPL’s 22 locations across the city. Congratulations are also in order for second-place winners Sandy Wu, age 15, and Everan Michalchyshyn, age 14. Both Sandy and Everan will receive a prize of $50 for their great creations.

Later this week each branch will receive an allotment of buttons and magnets designed by Caleigh to use at library and community events during the summer.
